How do I Clear my browser cache in Google Chrome
Environment
Cause
The browser cache needs cleared periodically in order to have the most current data within the browser and to remove any old saved data that may inhibit the functionality of the browser.
Resolution/Answer
- In Google Chrome, click on the 3 dots at the top right of the screen
- In the menu that appears, select Settings
- Select Privacy and Security in the Left hand menu that appears.
- Then Select Clear Browsing Data at the top
- Select Cookies and other site data & Cached images and files, then hit the Clear data button.
- Once the cache is cleared, we recommend closing all of your internet browser windows entirely and reopening it for all the changes to take full effect.
- Note: it might default to "last hour" but IT recommends "all time" for the Time Range.
