When your password expires you’ll need to reset your password to continue to be able to log into your laptop, email and any other system that uses your Westmoreland user account to authenticate. This guide will show you how to reset your password from your computer. 

Expired Password Pop-up

When your password is expired, or getting close to expired you’ll see a pop-up like the one below. This is the indicator that it is time to change your password.

How to Reset Password

1. Press CTRL+ALT+DELETE to open the following menu.

2. Click on Change a Password to start the process.

3. The Change a Password screen will look like the screen you see on login, but with extra fields.

4. Your username should already be entered. Enter your current password in the Old Password field, enter your new password in the New password and the Confirm password fields, and then click the arrow button to submit the change.

  • Make sure to follow the current password standards when setting up your new password, or it will be rejected.

5. The next screens will confirm if the change was successful.
